Has anyone noticed that the sunlight has an uncanny knack of showing every smear and mark on your windows?
Cleaning windows in the sun can be a frustrating job – as soon as you spray and wipe your glass cleaning solution on them, it dries and smears and looks even worse than before. If they haven’t been done for a while it gets even worse.
There is a simple solution – do it the old fashioned way!
Wash the glass with either plain warm water or if you really want, add a drop of lemon or white vinegar to cut through accumulated grime and add a shine, then use a window squeegy (available from any most supermarkets, hardware stores etc for a couple of pounds – email us at email@example.com if you would like to buy one from us) and starting at the top left hand corner, using a long continuous downward stroke top to bottom, wipe the water away a squeegy width at a time.
On the next downward stroke, be sure to overlap slightly with a dry bit to avoid leaving streaks.
The real trick to this is after each downward stroke, be sure to wipe the squeegy as dry as possible. If it is too wet, you will end up smeary again.
